EPDM Rubber Tiles

Dflect EPDM rubber playground tiles are manufactured with a virgin rubber top layer and SBR base. As no recycled (SBR) rubber is used on the top surface the EPDM range has a wider choice of colours. The EPDM tile has a similar drainage channel design as Dflect SBR Tiles.

Our EPDM tiles are suitable for Gym Sport and Playground applications and have been tested for various fall height Head Injury Criterion (HIC) values. Dflect EPDM tiles comply with the strictest standards for impact protection set by EN1177:2008 and EN 1177:2017.

As the EPDM option contains a virgin rubber top layer they are a more expensive product but they do create a unique surface finish. They are also Reach compliant, have increased UV stability and perform better on flammability and smoke classification compared to SBR tiles.

EPDM tiles are not subject to carbon leaching so we advise the use of EPDM tiles where very young children will be on the surface of the tiles.

EPDM is an abbreviation of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer. Our EPDM tiles have a top layer as per your colour choice. The remainder of the tile will be sbr rubber in black.

We also have the ability to manufacture in other EPDM colours so if you have a special colour in mind please let us know and we will confirm availability.
